The aim of the course is to make students aware of the basic concepts, approaches and techniques of cultural appropriacy of language testing and assessment. During the course students will acquire the skills of evaluating, designing and implementing testing instruments. The specific objectives to be achieved are as follows: to increase students? awareness of a variety of aspects involved in the process of testing and assessment to expose students to various ways of testing, types of tests and test tasks and to help them understand and reflect upon testing through various test analysis tasks to equip students with a wide repertoire of test-making techniques to help students acquire the practical skills of evaluating and writing language tests in response to local conditions.
